Drawing on inspiration from a house concert setting like ‘Parlour shows’ crossed with a live recording / performance experience like ‘Snarky Puppy live in the studio’, Yama-Nui Recording Studios ‘Live in the Juice Box’ hosts Quarterly parties / live recording performances featuring some of the finest International, National or Local musicians where the audience gets to immerse themselves in the recording process in a performance setting. Either intimate in the soundproof recording rooms with the musicians, Hanging in the lounge room with headphones on or partying out in the control room which features a bi-fold window that opens out to an entertaining area featuring a fire pit, hammocks and view across a valley to the Montville / Maleny ranges.

A unique and intimate concert event celebrating the band’s landmark new album with Brazilian music legend, drummer Marcio Bahia. VIP and Super-Love ticket holders will be IN the studio with the band, and all attending will receive an exclusive dowload link of the live concert.

For 21 years, award-winning OzBrazilian band The View From Madeleine’s Couch has forged a glorious and lush sonic path through Brazilian jazz and bossa nova. They are amongst the most experienced and acclaimed performers of Brazilian music in Australia. It is their honour to be recording their fourth album with a legend of Brazilian music, master-drummer Marcio Bahia.

All funds raised by this performance go towards recording costs for the new album, and filming three of the live tracks.

What time does the concert start?
The concert starts at 6pm sharp. The Q & A/workshop with Marcio and the band will run 4.30pm – 5.30pm. The first 30 minute set will be filmed (recording three songs, twice), and there will be an interval of 20 minutes between each of three sets.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No ID required, and no minimum age, but please appreciate this is a concert recording and there may be times when the engineer will request quiet in the studio.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is street parking along Meher Road + on the grass at the top of the property.

What can I bring into the event?
Your awesome vibe!! VIP ticket-holders will have a reserved seat. Super-Love ticket holders please bring a cushion/small stool or small camping chair. The ‘hang-out’/listening area has both indoor and outdoor spaces, so if it’s a cool night, dress accordingly. Supper is provided plus soft drinks/juice. You’re welcome to bring wine or beer, but please bring your own drinking vessel.
